Corrections Policy

We correct our mistakes
No newsroom is perfect. When we get something wrong, we fix it quickly and tell readers what changed. Hiding errors destroys trust; correcting them builds it.
How corrections work
- Significant factual errors (wrong names, dates, figures, or the substance of a story) are corrected in the article itself, and the article's "Updated" date is changed to reflect the correction.
- Minor errors (typos, formatting) are fixed without a notice.
- If a correction materially changes the meaning of a story, we note what was corrected.
How to report an error
Email us via the Contact Us page with:
- A link to the article.
- A description of the error.
- Any source or evidence supporting the correction, if you have it.
We review every correction request. If we made an error, we correct it; if we believe the article is accurate, we will explain why.
No silent rewrites
We do not quietly rewrite the substance of a published story to pretend an error never happened. Updates for new developments are timestamped separately from corrections.
